How Stop Everyone from Reading Your Blog?

If you want to stop everyone from reading your blog, there are several steps you can take to make it private or inaccessible. Keep in mind that these measures will also prevent legitimate readers from accessing your blog, so make sure you really want to limit access. Here are some methods to achieve this:

Set Your Blog to Private: Most blogging platforms allow you to change the privacy settings of your blog. By setting it to private, only approved individuals (usually those with registered accounts or those you explicitly invite) will be able to view your blog's content.

Password Protection: You can add password protection to your entire blog or specific blog posts/pages. Visitors will need to enter the correct password to access the content.

Disable Search Engine Indexing: If your blog is publicly accessible but you want to prevent search engines from indexing it, you can use the "noindex" meta tag or a robots.txt file to instruct search engine crawlers not to index your blog.

Stopping Everyone Reading a Blog

In the Settings > Basic:  Permissions tab, there is an area where Blogger lets you restrict the readers of your blog to anyone, selected people, or authors only.

If you click the Edit link in this section, you can choose one of: 

• Private - Only blog authors
• Private - Only these readers

If you choose the first option, then In the first option, only blog authors can read your blog.  Other attempted visitors get a message that this is a private blog, and they will not be able to read any posts.

If you choose the second option, you need to click the + Add readers link and enter the email addresses of the people you want to allow to read the blog.     Each email address that you enter will get a message like this:

"Hello,

The purpose of this message is to inform you that YourName has invited you to join their private blog "yourBlogName". To accept this invitation, click on the button below.

<<Accept invitation button>>
